Think responsibly - Drink responsibly
Barnsley council, its licensed premises and South Yorkshire police are all extremely proactive in enforcing the towns 'Code of Conduct' approach to the sale of alcohol. All venues within the town centre have an agreed £1.30 minimum charge for all alcoholic beverages to aid the discouragement of excess alcoholic consumption. In addition, the Pub Watch program that involves all of the towns licensees, keeps a strong vigil on issues relating to Barnsley's 'Responsible Drinking' ethos.
