The Victorian Kitchen Educational Visit provides a fascinating insight into the lives of men, women and children at various levels of society and differences in status between a wealthy family and their staff.
This visit gives children and accompanying adults the opportunity to live the life of a Victorian servant for the day, trialling a range of jobs from Kitchen staff to Laundry maids and Footmen.
On this page you will find the Teachers pack with everything you will need for the visit. Your pupils will be immersed in the historical atmosphere and sample the delights of a meal cooked on our Victorian range. Upon arrival at the museum please ring the bell at the front door and give our staff a list of names of the children attending. Our staff will then lead the prospective 'servants' to the kitchen area.
