Cooper Gallery
The Cooper Gallery is set in an historic building in the centre of Barnsley. It has a fine collection of mainly seventeenth to twentieth century art owned by the Trustees of the Cooper Gallery. Gems include work by artists such as JMW Turner, Paul Nash, Henry Moore, John Atkinson Grimshaw and a wonderful collection of seascapes by Louis Gabriel - Eugene Isabey. The collection is exhibited thematically, changing 3 time a year. This is complemented by an exciting programme of contemporary exhibitions, featuring work by international, national and local artists.
For refreshments visit our café situated in the gallery serving a tasty range of food and drink.
