Cawthorne Victoria Jubilee Museum
The museum is a wonderful introduction to Cawthorne village and its agricultural past. As you enter the museum, there is what looks like a medieval hall stretching out in front of you, with a treasure trove of objects, all around and above you, that tell the social history of the village.
The exhibits range from the beautiful to the bizarre, but all part of life, and all of interest. Amongst many other items, there is a wooden bicycle with iron clad wheels, a test piece made by an engineering apprentice out of scrap items in the 1890's - a good example that recycling is not a modern idea!
