RSPB Old Moor is a fantastic place to watch wildlife, have fun and learn more about the natural world. Follow the trails around the reserve and discover what's on offer.
Visit one of the seven hides, or join one of our organised events, which run every month on-site. People have shaped the Dearne Valley over the centuries. Coal mining resulted in areas of subsidence which filled with water to form pools and soon became wildlife magnets. The removal of soil from redundant colliery waste tips saw the birth of Old Moor.
Today, human influence continues to mould this landscape. Come and be a part of the future's natural heritage.
