This exhibition features work from four local art societies
- Art Buddies
- Barnsley Photographic Society
- Icon Art Group
- Pennine Artists
They were given the challenge to produce work on the theme of 'Sport and Movement'. It was left up to each artist to interpret this theme however they wanted and we hoped that we would get work that would push the theme to its limits.
This exhibition showcases the variety of art that happens every day in households around the Barnsley borough and the groups that meet to share their ideas and creativity.
These groups come from all corners of the borough and they are largely made up of amateur artists and photographers who have joined for all kinds of reasons.
These creative threads and connections are brought together through this exhibition and we hope that they inspire you to get creative or maybe join or start a new group yourselves.
